Now we’ve got the sides off, it’s time to remove many, many annoying little nails.

P1460609These are some of the worst nails I’ve ever had to pull out of wood -there seems to have been some kind of reaction between the old -school galv on the nails and the wood, resulting in extraordinary stickiness.P1460614 P1460621

This wouldn’t be such a problem, however, except for the fact that the nails are quite soft steel. Result: the heads often just pull off:P1460625

…so then it was out with my old friend and favourite tool, the angle grinder, buzzing those little bastards back and carving off a whole lot of old hardboard that was glued on to the framing. Got most of that finished today, too.
