Finished the latest batch of beans today, 56 in all. First, they get cast by the foundry, then I tumble them in my concrete mixer. Then I leave them to mature for a week or so, then I scrub them, rinse them a couple of times, and they’re ready for the alchemical part…

Here they are being baked (i.e. warmed up pre patina):

…then soaking in the patina bath (at 12 o’clock, the darkest one has been in longest -it’s sitting next to the latest one):

After waxing, they get cooled down on a special wax absorption -type material:
